Ian is particularly interested in change leadership and workplace challenges within organisations and has been involved in a range of commissions to help facilitate organisational performance improvement.
His clients include SGP, Bellrock FM, VocaLink, BIFM, TSYS International and Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Ian has published journal articles, papers and book chapters on a range of FM and workplace related topics exploring the human and cultural elements of organisational and workspace change, including organisational ecologies, social constructionism and FM, and the paucity of critical, sociological awareness in the industry.
Ian is currently completing his doctorate which has involved five years of research using innovative qualitative methods to explore ‘what matters’ to both providers and users of organisational space in both traditional and co-working workspace environments. He has shared insights from his research for Workplace Trends, IFMA Foundation, Euro FM, BIFM, NHS NSS Scotland, and at a range of other industry ‘thought leader’ events.
